nice job w/the vinyl, buddy. alex & i picked up some choice stuff today, too. my best find to date: a live 2 disc david bowie concert album. rockin the lp’s rules.
I have 0 Bowie in my collection… What is the BEST starter album?
That old post is really great!
Pet Shop Boys!? WTF?
I wonder where that mouse is today…maybe a fictional follow-up is due…
there is a great 1976 release called changesONEbowie that has some great tracks: suffragette city, ziggy stardust, fame, young americans, etc. not sure how difficult it will be to find on vinyl. any album with these tracks on it is worth picking up: always crashing the same car, heroes, diamond dogs, golden years. as bowie would say, “wear the eyepatch, joe. wear the funky, funky eyepatch.”
Best Bowie starter is his breakthrough album Ziggy Stardust. It’s magic.
Or the essential “Bowies in Space”
FICTIONAL FOLLOW-UP:
Two days later a wild Falcon swooped down, ate him, digested him, and pooped him all over my car.
Oh the circle of life!
