Art Wednesday
Mark Rothko – Red, Orange, Tan, and Purple, 1949
I know that I have used Mark Rothko as an Art Wednesday in the past… But I am feeling the urge again.
I see the three dimensional aspects of life depicted in a two dimensional world in this piece… No fancy title, no fancy tricks, just beautiful “simple complexity” (the goal of my life) depicted by using 5 colors.
I think layers of life, duality of life, contrast, separation and unity when I look at this piece.

Maggie and Chloe were cute as hell in their Halloween costumes last night… They didn’t even mind that Uncle Joe stoke a bit of their candy!
